I got dared by Rylee to put that I want a boyfriend… so I guess I want a boyfriend. 🙂
Mr.Meyer’s Math Question
I’m responding to the math question by Mr.Meyer (above) on how long it would take for the app store to reach 25,000,000,000. The entire project including the questions and the numbers you need to do the math are here. I think that the correct answer is March 3 at 11:50 am.
What we could change in math…
I already shared my opinion.
Student-Led Conference’s
-
I can add and subtract negative numbers.
- I can multiply and divide negative numbers fairly well, it only took me four minutes to do fifteen problems with thirteen correct.
- I can’t preform the distributive property with multi-step equations very well, I’ve been working on it thirty-nine minutes total to do sixteen problems total only getting three correct.
- I can combine like terms and I can’t combine like terms using the distributive property, I never finished it.
- I can evaluate positive, negative and zero exponents, it only took twenty-three minutes for me to do sixty problems getting thirty-five problems correct without using any hints.
-
I can simplify expressions using exponents, you can tell because it only took nineteen minutes to do seventeen problems getting ten correct.
I think I should get an A or a B. I can do almost all of the criteria for this class. If you want proof then you can just look up and see where I typed what I got on Khan Academy.
Square Root of 108
How to find the square root of a number in steps:
- You find the two whole numbers that you can times by themselves that your number is in between. For this example it’s 10 and 11 because 10*10=100 11*11=121
- So you know that the square root of 108 must be in between 10 and 11 because 108 is in between 100 and 121.
- Now it will be easier if you find the middle number of 100 and 121. Which is 10.5.
- So then you times 10.5 by 10.5 and see what the answer is. Which is 110.25
- So then you know that the square root of 108 is less than 10.5. And you know it’s more than 10 so you guess a number then you try it.
- So we’re going to try 10.4. 10.4*10.4 is about 108
